Marvel Rivals Ranks, Distribution, and Competitive Mode Explained

Wondering how Marvel Rivals ranks work or what rewards you can earn? Whether you're climbing from Bronze or aiming for "One Above All", here's a full breakdown of the ranked system, distribution stats, competitive rules, and rewards for Season 3.

All Marvel Rivals Ranks (In Order)

There are nine total ranks, most of which are split into three tiers (Tier III to I). Each tier requires 100 ranked points, meaning 300 points to progress through an entire rank.

Full List of Marvel Rivals Ranks:

  1. Bronze (Tier III–I)
  2. Silver (Tier III–I)
  3. Gold (Tier III–I)
  4. Platinum (Tier III–I)
  5. Diamond (Tier III–I)
  6. Grandmaster (Tier III–I)
  7. Celestial (Tier III–I)
  8. Eternity (No tiers, continuous points)
  9. One Above All (Top 500 only)

Note: "One Above All" is reserved for the top 500 players globally at the end of the season, similar to Overwatch 2’s ranked format.

  • Diamond – 15.1%
  • Grandmaster – 14.7%
  • Celestial – 6.5%
  • Eternity + One Above All – 0.1%

Note: This data excludes players with fewer than 5 ranked matches, offering a more accurate snapshot of the competitive scene.

Marvel Rivals Competitive Mode – How It Works

Unlocking Ranked Mode:

To access competitive mode, you must first reach Level 10.

Chrono Shield System:

This feature protects players from immediate demotion after a loss streak. Once used, it must be recharged, with higher ranks needing more matches to do so.

High-Rank Features:

  • From Diamond III onward, teams can ban two heroes per match — ideal for balancing meta picks.
  • Celestial rank players will suffer rank decay if inactive for a set time.
  • Queue restrictions apply at higher tiers:
    • Gold and below: Can queue with any friend.
    • Gold I to Celestial: Only within 3 divisions.
    • Eternity + One Above All: Can queue with Celestial II or higher (within 200 points) and only as a solo or duo.
