Marvel Rivals Competitive Mode – How It Works

Unlocking Ranked Mode:
To access competitive mode, you must first reach Level 10.
Chrono Shield System:
This feature protects players from immediate demotion after a loss streak. Once used, it must be recharged, with higher ranks needing more matches to do so.
High-Rank Features:
- From Diamond III onward, teams can ban two heroes per match — ideal for balancing meta picks.
- Celestial rank players will suffer rank decay if inactive for a set time.
- Queue restrictions apply at higher tiers:
- Gold and below: Can queue with any friend.
- Gold I to Celestial: Only within 3 divisions.
- Eternity + One Above All: Can queue with Celestial II or higher (within 200 points) and only as a solo or duo.
